Gary Is the first of  two non-knifemakers to compete in open competition. Gary won the 2008 Blade Show World Championship – the first non-knifemaker to win this championship!  Gary is a director of BladeSports International, Inc. 

Gary is a great competitor & has trained hard to become one of the best on the circuit. He works for Dart Container in Waxahachie TX.

Ken is a retired teacher and recently took up cutting competition. He is a knife collector and lanyard maker and enjoys everything concerning knives. 

He competes in knife and hawk throwing at the mountain man rendevouzs and stays up in the top 4 places in those competitions.  His new love is cutting and hopes to get as many competitions under his belt as possible.

A strong supporter of knives & knifemakers for many years. Scott is a metallurgists with SB Specialty Metals where he is Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. He started cutting in 2003 & is one of the first two non-knifemakers to compete in open competition.
Scott has helped many makers with new steels, heat treating & testing along with presenting seminars on
Crucible Steels & metallurgy.

Jose Diaz is from Ellensburg, WA and is a part time knife maker. He is also sponsored by Spyderco. Jose concentrates his knife designs on affordable user grade knives and sees the cutting competition as a test bed for design and innovation. He is a backpacker and active outdoorsman.

Michelle is one of 3 Female competitors to have been trained in our sport. She has proven to be a competitive and enthusiastic member of our organization and proves without a doubt that, “Girls can do this too!”

Mike is a non-knifemaker competitor.  He won the White Level championship in the BladeSports 2006-2007 season, and finished 4th overall in the BladeSports 2007-2008 season

Dan is a custom knifemaker specializing in fixed blades, swords, and Competition Knives.

Dan is currently attending college and working toward becoming a doctor of Chiropractic medicine.

Dan Holds the world record for the 2x4 Speed Chop at 1.21 seconds, set on May 9, 2009.

A full time Knife maker since 1983 & a Knifemakers Guild member since 1984. Warren has been a director for the Knifemakers Guild for seven years and began Competition cutting in 2003.

Warren held the 2x4 speed cut record at 2.97 seconds for almost two years and Warren is sponsored by Benchmade.

Warren Osborne developed and shared the new Safety Lanyard system used by most certified Cutters.

Ted is a custom knifemaker specializing in fixed blade Hunting Knives and Competition Knives.

Ted placed 2nd in the BladeSports 2006-2007 season. Although he was unable to attend the final event in Atlanta, he placed 7th in the BladeSports 2007-2008 season. On April 5, 2008, at the North Texas Cutting Competition, Ted set a new world record 2x4 speed cut at 1.845 seconds.

Bud became involved in the sport through a knifemaker that also currently holds several of the world records in the knife cutting competitions. While not a knifemaker himself, he will continue with the Bladesdports organization and encourage others to get involved. His hobbies include building wood strip kayaks, as well as fishing out of them, motorcycle touring, and of course, the knife cutting competitions

Lars in a non knife maker living in rural north Idaho. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting, fishing and backpacking throughout the Pacific Northwest. Along with participating in BSI Lars is also an integral member of the Diaz Tools R&D team

Ed Schempp has been a Cutting sensation for a number of years in west coast competitions. Ed is a regular winner of rope cutting events.
